In your reflection, address the following topics in 400-600 words (total, word count not including the questions you write for class):
One quick note: CSCW means Computer supported cooperative work
Hong et al. and Venkatesh et al. both worked closely with parents, caregivers, and autistic people throughout their research. However, their approaches are different from one another. Hong et al.'s primary contribution is the formative discussions and a proof-of-concept prototype that they did not fully implement. In contrast, Venkatesh et al. went through several full system iterations.
Which approach is better when conducting this type of research? What are the pros and cons of only creating a prototype? What are the pros and cons of implementing a full system?
Please feel free to reflect on other portions of the paper (including strengths and weaknesses) if you find the above questions not fulfilling the word count.
Please remember to write 3-5 discussion questions for class.
